In the Lausitz, near the Saxonian border, there is located the community of Rietschen. The Saxonian border divides the Lausitz into the Upperlausitz and the Lowerlausitz. The main character of the Lausitz is its varied landscape. Here the nature is still unspoilt. Cranes, ospreys, ducks and herons live at the wetlands and its numerous ponds. The angler will find carps, pikes and pike-perches. The huntsman will be pleased with the plentiful game, especially deer and wild boar.

Of course you can also just go hiking and enjoy nature. Whenever you want more substantial entertainment, you can drive to Görlitz, which in the old days was called the secret capital of Silesia.
